Nansuka ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — Email address and authentication credentials (via Sign in with Apple)
- Conversation data — Your messages are processed through third-party AI services to generate responses. Conversation history is stored on your device and synced with our secure cloud database for backup and continuity
- Usage data — Pseudonymized statistics such as session frequency and feature usage, linked to your account identifier
- In-app progress — Level, hearts, coins, streak, and other game-related data synced with our cloud database
2. How We Use Your Information
- Providing and operating the Service, including AI-powered conversations
- Syncing your progress and data across sessions
- User support and responding to inquiries
- Improving and analyzing the Service
3. AI Processing and Third-Party Services
Your conversation messages are sent to third-party AI service providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) for the purpose of generating responses. These providers process your messages in accordance with their own privacy policies and data handling practices.
We do not use your conversation data for training AI models. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.
4. Topic Cards Feature
News summary data used in the Topic Cards feature is retained on our servers and deleted when it is no longer needed for the feature. No personal information is included in this data.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or destruction.
5.1 Safety Event Logs
When our automated safety systems detect content indicating a risk of harm (such as expressions of self-harm or threats of violence), we record a safety event consisting of the event category, severity, timestamp, app version, and locale. The text of your message is not stored in safety logs. Safety events are used solely to operate our safety features, protect users, comply with legal obligations, and, in cases of credible threats of harm, to make reports to competent authorities as described in the Terms of Use.
6. Third-Party Disclosure
We do not share your personal information with third parties except:
- As necessary for AI processing described in Section 3
- As required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process
- To protect our rights, safety, or property
- To law enforcement or other competent authorities where we believe in good faith there is a credible threat of harm to any person, to the extent permitted or required by applicable law
7. Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the in-app account deletion feature. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our systems in accordance with applicable law and our data retention practices.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended only for persons 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
